All players are three dimensional and the game features the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings. The teams now have two right grip attackers. Combine this with a left forward that can get back behind the opponents goal in Gretzkys Office and a center forward that can go back into his own zone to build up the attack. Puck ejectors, plexiglass shields behind the net and goal counters go without saying in Stanley Cup. You make them spin, pass, skate to the net and shoot just like the real game. It was the Flyers vs the Rangers. It consisted of a similar platform, but the players were just flat, black plastic with stickers! The game was so vintage that the goalies still wore the Jason Vorhees goalie masks (or should I say the "Bernie Parent" mask), and the players didn't even wear helmets.
