I bought it because it was the cheapest semi-hard case available, but I am going to return it. It is basically cardboard with some synthetic covering. Free shipping!This case offers better protection for a guitar than a gig bag. It is lightweight and is much less of a hassle to place the guitar into, than a gig bag, as well. My dreadnought guitar fits in, with room to spare. I put an extra humidifier into the storage compartment, as it has a small hole on top. The real purpose of the hole is to put your finger in, to open the compartment, but it came in handy for this purpose as well.
