The general speed of the computer got slower and slower over time (since reformat). I decided to upgrade to 2gb total RAM, and it made a huge difference in boot up speed, general windows use, and for gaming. Things are INSTANT again, just like a fresh reformatted drive. I'm very happy with the purchase. Kingston, as far as I know, has always been a good quality brand.
