Rating: - Pet Backpack
I agree this product is probably not for those looking to be avid backpackers and outdoors all of the time with it. I do think it is great for walking the dog though. I love how there is padding everywhere the bag may rub so I don't have to worry about it hurting the dog after a bit. I also love how adjustable it is.

This pack came just in time for our camping trip over the weekend. Taking it out of the packaging it seemed like a really nice pack for the price. Reading another low review I was skeptical. We put in a couple bottles of water, a towel, and some sunblock, just to test it out. The 1st thing we noticed was she seemed to calm down a bit with the pack on. I am pleased with this pack however its a little big for my dog, but thats not a defect in the product. The pack is adjustable fitting a wide range of sizes. my dog is comfortable in it however because i have it adjusted to the smallest size, there is a lot of strap hanging down unused.

Rating: - Shoddy Workmanship, Cheaply Made
I bought this as a pack for my Lab to participate in a charity dog walk. The morning of the walk we put 6 16oz bottles of water (3 per side)and a small towel in it to carry for us and hopefully (as Ceasar puts it) give him some more work. I put it on him several weeks ago when we got it to get him used to it. He wore it comfortably for about an hour so I'm confident we it had adjusted well.
