 Rating:  - Best I've ever hadI've had nothing but trouble with HP printers. The Canon MX310 is such a wonderful change to a truly quality printer-scanner-fax, and for half the price! The software installed without a hitch in Windows XP and all functions work great. The manual is somewhat vague and it took some small amount of fiddling to operate the fax and scan modes, but in the end, not enough to remove a whole star, as it's really pretty simple to use. It also looks good, with a sleek design. I love it! Keep it up, Canon! ... While I am not a tech expert I am also not a tech idiot.I found installation went faster and easier by doing it "my way". The cartridges USUALLY do not engage properly, and then you have to try over and over and over again before the printer takes hold of them. Set up and installation instructions were easy to understand. The print quality is clear and the fax and scan functions are easy to use. Very happy with this purchase.
