Rating: - audio version
I wished it would be audio. I have trouble staying awake when reading and my eyes get very tired and I would like to sit back and let it do the reading for me. That way I could keep working and still enjoy a book.

Lucky me, my husband (a tech Geek) bought me this as a gift. Not something I'd I've bought for myself but now I'm hooked. I've had it almost a week and I've gone through two books and a few samples along with a trail mag. The biggest plus is the space it saves. I ran out of room for hard copies and have to get rid of books that I read once. It reduces the chance of buying the same book twice, and I can read any book I have at any time instead of the one that would tag along everywhere. The price is a bit higher than I'd like for electronic version (as I was told, you're paying for the story not the paper it's printed on.)But it's still less than the hard copy. As for the cover... it's a trick to get the kindle to sit in the cover so that it stay's and I do find that the page buttons do get pressed rather easily by mistake causing one to have to remember where you were in the story. Even given these slight flaws I love it no one asks you what you're reading who can tell it's a book? There is no cover and if you love to read you probably hate the interruptions of well meaning questions... I will say that I do miss the cover, I find myself closing the front flap looking for the cover of the story and have to laugh (at myself) for not finding it... This product could be expended (different sizes) they could use it for schools text books, papers ECT... It is much easier on the eyes then reading on the computer... Now how about getting color...
P.S. I love the old fashion pictures that appear when it sleeps an auto shut down after 15 min in sleep mode would be nice for those poor souls who fall asleep when reading...

Absolutely no complaints, even without wireless coverage in this rural area! Wouldn't trade it for the world! A slight modification to the case so that it doesn't fall out (a velcro strip on back) and I have been completely happy.

OMGOODNESS!!! Everyone should have a Kindle!! I read on the average at least 10 books all at the same time. I often find myself in the most peculiar reading situations and positions! The Kindle is wonderful for my reading habits. I carry my Kindle every where! The minute I see a book or CD's I might want, I quick go to my kindle and log into the "Kindle Store". I search for my item and "ZIP"! There they are in less then 30 seconds on my Kindle. Now, the music has to be down loaded to your computer and then load them onto your Kindle. The "Look-up" feature for definitions for words your not familiar with is fantastic!! I recommend that everyone buy and download the "Kindle Users Guide". I have not had the opportunity to use the scan documents feature or the email. Buttt...! Everyone needs a KINDLE!;) I LOVE this thing!!!

This is a tool that all ages can use or benefit from. It is wonderful to choose a book or magazine and have it delivered to me in seconds for less money than newstand cost. I had a question about my Kindle and the customer service was very good. The opportunity to read a "sample" of a book before buying is unique as is the free delivery of one issue of a periodical.
